Decorations don’t have to be pricey! They can be completely FREE! Here’s how to make your own FREE Christmas tree decorations using twigs from your own backyard.
Na na na na na na na…Na na na na na na…Gettin twiggy with it…
I had to. I apologize…Start booing and throwing the tomatoes. I totally deserve it!
Today I wanted to show you this super simple and FREE craft idea that I worked on last night.
It took me about an hour to do while watching tv, maybe less… Did I mention it’s FREE?!
These FREE Christmas tree decorations were so simple to make! I’m all about easy crafts, but you should know that by now 😉
What you’ll need to make your own tree ornaments…
- tree branches
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- string
- paint (optional)
- glitter (option)
I opted to make these tree ornaments au natural but they would look really pretty spray painted too.
Basically if you know how to spell, you can make them! 🙂
I used crape myrtle branches from my yard because they bend pretty easily without snapping.
And then just secured everything together with my hot glue gun. That’s the best tool for this job, E6000 won’t work…I tried.
And after I posted this, I thought…
Wow! Would these make fabulous gift tags too! What a special little touch that you could add to your wrapped gifts this year!
I hope you enjoyed this simple craft idea!
I’d love to know if you make one, so let me know either by commenting below or on my Facebook page!
Don’t forget to check out my other Christmas projects while you’re here.
Talk to you soon friends, take care!
