A simple color scheme of gold, silver, black and white creates a sophisticated yet festive dining room table to carry you through the holiday entertaining season…
You guys.
It’s November! How did that even happen? I feel like I’ve been on a runaway train for months with no sense of time and direction. To catch you up… We had puppies. It was an experience to say the least but those 11 little bundles of energy and mass destruction took its toll on me and our house. It’s taken quite a long time to get things back to somewhat normal around here but I was burnt out, and needed a break from this blog, because I could just not find any inspiration among the puppy piddles to write about. {see: my house is a complete mess and I am slowly getting it back together} #bloggerfail
Slowly but surely though our house is beginning to look like a home again, and with the holidays approaching faster than I can handle I wanted to get a head start on decorating to hopefully persuade my creative mojo to come out of hibernation.
One of my favorite stores to browse through any time of year but especially this time of year is At Home. Picture a gigantic warehouse filled with anything from wall art to patio furniture to bedding to Christmas Trees. I can easily get lost in there for hours with everything they have to offer, and not feel guilty about over spending with their everyday low prices.
On my last trip there I went specifically for items to finish off my holiday table. I found everything I needed from At Home Christmas Decor, like these shimmery silver placemats, elegant mercury glass taper candle holders, and the sparkling lit table trees. At Home features all of their Christmas decorations in 15 beautiful color schemes and that’s something that makes my color coding lover heart go pitter patter!
Since this is my formal dining room I’m keeping the color palate simple these year. Gold, Silver, White, and Black will keep my formal areas feeling festive yet elegant throughout the season and ready for guests. I can’t wait to entertain! 🙂
I’ve also been on the hunt for another Christmas tree to put up in our formal living area. I’m really leaning towards getting a snowy flocked tree but since we have such high ceilings I need it to be at least 9 ft tall and that’s been a challenge to find something in the past. I’m almost positive I’ll be able to find the perfect Tree for Me at At Home. They have 101 different artificial ones to choose from!
I’m super excited to really start decorating for the holidays! This is a great start and definitely has made me want to break out the rest of our holiday decor boxes. 🙂
Talk to you soon friends, take care!
