Fresh Herb Wreath

Hey friends! I just wanted to pop in real quick to tell you…

I MADE A WREATH!

…and not just any wreath! I made a completely custom, awesome, and FUNCTIONAL fresh herb wreath for my kitchen! Mmmm…it smells divine!

It’s been crazy busy around here and I can’t wait to share with you all the DIY goodness that is to come in the new year, but that will have to wait so for now…

What you’ll need-

faux moss wreath form
floral wire or landscape tape
an assortment of fresh herbs
ribbon

I didn’t have enough herbs from my garden so I cheated and bought the pre-packed ones. I needed 8 different packages to cover my wreath which is about a medium sized form.

I started at the bottom and layered my stems so it covered the form completely and then began to wrap my landscaping tape around and tying it off tightly to secure the herbs in place.

Then I would lay the new bunch of herbs half way covering the tied ones to create a staggered effect and to hide the tape as best I could. You can also fluff the herbs as you go to make sure you’re hiding the wire/string/tape.

Once you reach the top there is nowhere to hide the string so just tie it tightly into the middle. Then go back and snip off any excess you have hanging around the wreath, and fluff and move around your herbs to camouflage the where you’ve tied it off.

Then take your decorative ribbon and secure it right over the last piece of tape/string that couldn’t be hidden. Secure it with a tight knot in the back and voila!

I just love when you can make something that is not only beautiful to look at but practical as well! This super simple wreath took me about 15 minutes to make (I just love a simple craft!) and would make a great gift for anyone on your holiday shopping list this year!
