I’ve struggled with baking pretty much my entire life, but one thing I can make and make pretty freaking awesome is banana bread! It’s my mom’s recipe, and it is pretty much foolproof, but I recently started adding chocolate chips to it and oh my gawd…
I don’t think I’ll be ever able to eat plain banana bread again.
Do you add chocolate chips to your banana bread? If you don’t, you need to start! I’m officially converted. 🙂
Ooey gooey melted chocolate mixed with the most moist banana bread you’ve ever put in your mouth…
It’s a match made in tastebud heaven!
My daughter can’t get enough of it. As soon as she walks in the door after school she’s all over it, and I don’t blame her!
With the holidays coming up, this would be a great homemade gift to give out to neighbors, postal workers, trash collectors, UPS delivery people…
Make a few and bring them to the local fire or police station too! A small act of kindness can go a long way, and nothing says I appreciate you more than a homemade piece of chocolatey deliciousness. 🙂
I notice lately I’m buying bananas with the intention of letting them over ripen versus eating them right away! I think I’m averaging making a chocolate chip banana bread once a week now…
Hopefully yours will last longer! 😉
Here’s how to make it…
