  • 1 cup dried chickpeas (soaked overnight — do NOT use canned)
  • ½ small onion, roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ cup fresh parsley
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp cayenne (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1–2 tbsp flour (or chickpea flour)
  • Oil for frying

For the Hot Honey Glaze

  • ½ cup honey

Refrigerate mixture for 30–60 minutes to firm up.

Step 3: Form & Fry

Scoop 1–2 tablespoons and roll into balls.

Heat oil to 350°F.

Fry falafel for 3–4 minutes until deep golden brown and crispy.

Drain on paper towels.

(You can also air fry at 375°F for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.)
