The flavors of creamy chai tea in a perfectly baked sugar cookie.
My daughter is home with me during the day now that I’m homeschooling her and we’ve been in the kitchen a lot testing out recipes. One of her favorite things is Chai tea. So when she stumbled across a recipe for how to make chai sugar to top pretty much anything, I knew we had to try them on cookies to add to our platters this holiday season.

Chai Tea Sugar
The chai tea sugar is what makes these cookies incredible! You can make up a batch to sprinkle over just about anything sweet to transform it. I recommend making it a couple days before you bake the cookies to allow the flavors to melt together.
We enjoyed eating these cookies with a tall glass of milk, and they’re also perfect served with a hot cup of coffee or tea.

I even used the leftover sugar to top some scones I whipped up the other day and they turned out so good!
Ingredients
- Sugar: I used cane sugar
- Vanilla: A vanilla bean is better than extract for this
- Spices: ground cardamon, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and black pepper
