Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Onions

  1. Peel onions and trim just enough off the root so they sit flat.
  2. Cut a deep “X” into the top of each onion, about halfway down.

Step 2: Make the Butter Sauce

In a bowl, mix:

  • Melted butter
  • Ranch seasoning
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • Black pepper
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Worcestershire
  • Red pepper flakes

Spoon the mixture generously over each onion, making sure it seeps into the cuts.

Step 3: Wrap & Bake (Viral Style)

  1. Place each onion on a large sheet of foil in a baking dish.
  2. Wrap tightly.
  3. Bake at 400°F for 45–60 minutes until very tender.

Open the foil for the last 10 minutes so the tops lightly caramelize.
