Scale
6 thin boneless center cut pork chops
1/2 jar tomato sauce
1 bag frozen assorted bell peppers (*can use fresh if prefer)
1 red onion (sliced to match peppers)
2 tablespoons agave syrup (*can substitute with sugar if preferred)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
Preheat cast iron pan on high, drizzle in olive oil. Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper and place in the pan to brown.
When both sides are brown, add in your peppers and onions. Drizzle agave syrup over and let cook for a few minutes. Toss everything together and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Pour in tomato sauce and lower heat to low. Cover the pan and let everything cook together for 45 minutes.
Serve with starch of choice. We like it with mashed potatoes. 🙂 Enjoy!
