These easy Herb Cheese Twists are a buttery, cheesy appetizer made with refrigerated buttermilk biscuits, Parmesan cheese, and dried herbs. Baked until golden brown, they’re perfect for parties, holidays, or serving alongside soup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1 package (6 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (5 biscuits)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Place butter in a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave on 50% power for about 1 minute, or until melted. Let cool slightly. Stir in Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, and dried basil.

  • Separate biscuits and stretch each one into a 5 x 2-inch rectangle.

  • Spread about 1 teaspoon of the butter mixture evenly over each rectangle.

  • Cut each rectangle in half lengthwise. Twist each strip three to four times and place on prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder to the butter mixture.

  • Best served warm, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven or air fryer.

  • Serve with marinara sauce, ranch, or garlic butter for dipping.
