It’s hard to believe that Christmas is only ten days away!

Hopefully by now you’ve finished up your shopping and can take a breather to enjoy some fun little activities.

Because truly, that’s what this season is all about.

Celebrating the birth of Jesus and making memories with our loved ones. 🙂

Ever since my daughter was little, I’ve always made lots of cute little treats for her to snack on this time of year.

A tradition I grew up with was going to see the Nutcracker ballet…

That’s where these chocolate covered cherry mice are inspired from.

They are so fun and easy to make. Even little ones can help!

You’ll need-

  • Cherries (maraschino is best- pitted with stems)
  • milk chocolate dipping chocolate
  • Hershey kisses
  • sliced almonds

I could not find maraschino cherries with the stems anywhere local this year so I used fresh.

My daughter is older now and knows how to eat cherries with pits, but if you’re making these for a crowd, especially with young ones, I’d go for pitted.

The steps are easy.

Simply melt the chocolate.

Dip the cherries into the chocolate.

Stick on a kiss to make the face.

And add sliced almonds for the ears.

Then decorate as you like 🙂
