Ingredients
- 1 (30-ounce) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup whole milk
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook breakfast sausage in a large skillet until browned. Drain excess grease and set aside.
- Cook bacon until crispy and crumble into small pieces.
- In a large bowl combine hash browns, sausage, bacon, onion, jalapeño, cheddar cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese.
- In a separate bowl whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Pour the sauce over the hashbrown mixture and stir until evenly combined.
- Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until hot, bubbly, and golden brown around the edges.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
