Description

This Sweet Tomatoes Homestyle Ranch Dressing copycat recipe is creamy, tangy, and packed with fresh herbs. Made with mayonnaise, buttermilk, and garlic, it tastes just like the classic salad bar ranch and is perfect for salads, veggie dips, wings, and more.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup mayonnaise
½ cup buttermilk
½ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh dill)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional:

1 teaspoon white vinegar
½ teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth and creamy.

  2. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

  3. If desired, add the vinegar and sugar for the classic Sweet Tomatoes ranch flavor.

  4. Whisk everything together until fully combined.

  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.

  6. Stir before serving and enjoy with salads, vegetables, wings, or sandwiches.

Notes

For thicker ranch dip, reduce the buttermilk slightly.
For thinner dressing, add a splash more buttermilk.
Fresh herbs can be used instead of dried for brighter flavor.
