Description

This Supreme Pizza Pasta Bake Casserole combines everything you love about a loaded supreme pizza with cheesy baked rigatoni pasta. Packed with Italian sausage, ground beef, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, mushrooms, black olives, bell peppers, marinara sauce, and plenty of melted mozzarella cheese, it’s the ultimate family dinner.


Ingredients

Pasta

  • 1 pound rigatoni pasta

Meat Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 4 ounces pepperoni slices
  • 8 ounces Canadian bacon, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Vegetables

  • 1 large red onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives

Sauce

  • 2 jars (24 ounces each) marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Cheese Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups half-and-half
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Topping

  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Extra pepperoni
  • Extra black olives
  • Chopped parsley


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  • Cook rigatoni according to package directions until just under al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Brown ground beef and Italian sausage. Drain excess grease.
  • Add pepperoni and Canadian bacon and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in onion, bell peppers, mushrooms, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  • Add marinara sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, oregano, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Slowly whisk in half-and-half until smooth and thickened.
  • Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella until melted.
  • Combine cooked pasta, meat sauce, black olives, and cheese sauce in a large bowl.
  • Transfer to prepared baking dish.
  • Top with remaining mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, and black olives.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

  • Slightly undercook the pasta so it doesn’t become mushy while baking.
  • Freshly shredded mozzarella melts best.
  • Add banana peppers for even more classic supreme pizza flavor.
  • This casserole can be assembled up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerated before baking.
  • Leftovers keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
