Description

This easy spring stovetop potpourri fills your home with a fresh, natural scent using citrus, herbs, and vanilla. A simple simmer pot recipe perfect for spring cleaning, hosting, or everyday cozy living.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 handful fresh rosemary
  • 1 handful fresh mint
  • 12 teaspoons vanilla extract (or 1 vanilla bean)
  • Optional: fresh or dried lavender
  • 46 cups water


Instructions

  1. Fill a small pot with 4–6 cups of water.
  2. Add sliced lemon and orange.
  3. Add rosemary and mint.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and optional lavender.
  5. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  6. Reduce heat to low and let simmer.
  7. Add more water as needed to keep the pot from drying out.

Notes

  • Do not let the pot run dry.
  • You can reuse the mixture for up to 2 days (store in fridge between uses).
  • Freeze ingredients ahead of time for quick use later.
