Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (16 oz) packages miniature smoked sausage links (Little Smokies)

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • ½ cup ketchup

  • ¼ cup prepared horseradish

Instructions

  • Add the Little Smokies to a 3–4 quart slow cooker.

  • In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, ketchup, and prepared horseradish until well combined.

  • Pour the sauce over the sausages and gently stir to coat.

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours (or HIGH for 2 hours).

  • Stir occasionally if possible.

  • Switch to WARM setting and serve directly from the crockpot with toothpicks.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper.

  • You can substitute BBQ sauce for ketchup for a smokier flavor.

  • To thicken the sauce, remove the lid during the last 20–30 minutes of cooking.

  • Recipe can be doubled in a 6–7 quart slow cooker.
