These Easy Slow Cooker Little Smokies are made with just four simple ingredients and simmered in a sweet and tangy brown sugar glaze. The perfect crockpot party appetizer for holidays, potlucks, and game day gatherings.
2 (16 oz) packages miniature smoked sausage links (Little Smokies)
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup ketchup
¼ cup prepared horseradish
Add the Little Smokies to a 3–4 quart slow cooker.
In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, ketchup, and prepared horseradish until well combined.
Pour the sauce over the sausages and gently stir to coat.
Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours (or HIGH for 2 hours).
Stir occasionally if possible.
Switch to WARM setting and serve directly from the crockpot with toothpicks.
For a spicier version, add ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper.
You can substitute BBQ sauce for ketchup for a smokier flavor.
To thicken the sauce, remove the lid during the last 20–30 minutes of cooking.
Recipe can be doubled in a 6–7 quart slow cooker.
