Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (24–28 oz) package frozen meatballs

  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped

  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 (12 oz) can beer

  • 3 cups shredded cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or a mix)

Optional for Serving:

  • Toasted hoagie rolls

  • Dijon or yellow mustard

  • Chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Add the frozen meatballs to the slow cooker.

  • Sprinkle the chopped onion, brown sugar, and onion soup mix over the meatballs.

  • Pour the can of beer over everything.

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is bubbling.

  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top during the last 15–20 minutes of cooking and allow it to melt.

  • Serve warm directly from the slow cooker or pile the meatballs onto toasted hoagie rolls and drizzle with mustard.
