Description
This sheet pan Brazilian steakhouse dinner features juicy steak, spicy pork sausage, roasted potatoes and peppers all cooked on one pan and finished with a fresh Brazilian tomato onion vinaigrette.
Ingredients
Sheet Pan Dinner
1 ½ pounds sirloin steak
12 oz spicy pork sausage (linguiça or hot Italian sausage)
1 pound baby potatoes, halved
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 small red onion, sliced
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon dried oregano
Brazilian Tomato Onion Vinaigrette (Vinagrete)
1 cup diced tomatoes
½ cup finely diced white onion
¼ cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
Add halved baby potatoes to the sheet pan with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt and pepper. Roast for 15 minutes until they begin to soften.
Slice the sausage into thick rounds and cut the steak into large bite-size pieces.
In a large bowl combine steak, sausage, peppers, onion, garlic, remaining olive oil, paprika, oregano, salt and pepper.
Toss to coat.
Spread the steak, sausage and vegetables on the sheet pan with the potatoes.
Roast for 12–15 minutes until the steak is cooked to your liking and the sausage is browned.
In a bowl combine diced tomatoes, onion, parsley, vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. Stir well and let sit for 10 minutes so the flavors blend.
Transfer the roasted steak, sausage and vegetables to a serving platter and spoon the fresh tomato onion vinaigrette over the top.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Sirloin, ribeye or New York strip work great for this recipe.
• Linguiça sausage is traditional but spicy Italian sausage works well.
• Roast potatoes first so they get crispy before adding the steak.
