Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16-ounce) package linguine

  • ½ cup fresh or frozen peas, thawed

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ pound thinly sliced prosciutto or deli ham, chopped

  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Cook linguine according to package directions, adding peas during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.

  • While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add garlic, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

  • Stir in chopped prosciutto and cook briefly until warmed through.

  • Add drained linguine and peas to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.

  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and toss again before serving.

Notes

  • Reserve a little pasta water before draining in case you need to loosen the sauce.

  • Freshly grated Parmesan gives the best flavor.

  • Add red pepper flakes or lemon zest for extra brightness if desired.
