Description

This easy KFC Famous Bowl copycat recipe layers creamy mashed potatoes, crispy fried chicken, sweet corn, rich brown gravy, and melted cheddar cheese into the ultimate comfort food bowl you can make at home in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups creamy mashed potatoes
2 cups crispy popcorn chicken (or chopped chicken tenders)
1 cup sweet corn kernels
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup brown gravy
½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional toppings

2 tablespoons chopped green onions
¼ cup cooked crumbled bacon
Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the mashed potatoes
Make a batch of creamy mashed potatoes or warm leftover potatoes until hot and smooth.

2. Cook the chicken
Cook popcorn chicken or chicken nuggets according to package instructions until golden brown and crispy.

3. Heat the corn
Warm the corn in a small saucepan or microwave until heated through.

4. Warm the gravy
Heat brown gravy on the stovetop or microwave until hot and pourable.

5. Assemble the bowls
Divide the mashed potatoes between 4 bowls.

Top each bowl with:
• sweet corn
• crispy chicken
• shredded cheddar cheese

6. Add the gravy
Drizzle warm gravy over the top so it melts the cheese.

7. Finish and serve
Sprinkle with black pepper and optional toppings like green onions or bacon. Serve immediately.

Notes

Air fryer popcorn chicken works great for this recipe.
• Leftover mashed potatoes make this a super quick meal.
• Add extra gravy if you like a saucier bowl.
