This easy homemade guacamole seasoning is a simple spice blend that adds bold Tex-Mex flavor to fresh avocados. Made with pantry spices like garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and chili powder, it’s perfect for quick guacamole, tacos, and avocado toast.

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 teaspoon citric acid or lime powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Add all spices to a small bowl.

  • Stir or whisk until the seasoning is evenly combined.

  • Transfer the guacamole seasoning to a small airtight spice jar.

  • Store in a cool dry place for up to 6 months.

  1. Mash 2 ripe avocados in a bowl.

  2. Add 1–2 teaspoons guacamole seasoning.

  3. Stir in 1 tablespoon lime juice.

  4. Optional: add diced tomato, onion, or cilantro.

  5. Mix well and serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

Add more seasoning to taste depending on how strong you like your guacamole. Fresh lime juice brightens the flavor and helps keep the avocado from browning.
