Description

This Ultimate Green Bloody Mary is a vibrant St. Patrick’s Day twist on the classic brunch cocktail. Made with cucumber, celery, tomatillos, lime, and fresh herbs, this savory green Bloody Mary is refreshing, bold, and the perfect hangover cure after a night of celebrating.


Ingredients

Green Bloody Mary Mix

1 cup cucumber, chopped
½ cup tomatillos, husked
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
1 tablespoon lime juice
½ teaspoon prepared horseradish
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2–4 dashes hot sauce
½ teaspoon celery salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper

Cocktail

2 oz vodka
Ice

Garnish (optional)

celery stalk
lime wedge
green olives
pickled jalapeños
cucumber slices
pickled okra


Instructions

  1. Blend the green base

Add cucumber, tomatillos, celery, cilantro, parsley, and lime juice to a blender. Blend until smooth.

  1. Add the flavor

Add horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt, and black pepper. Blend briefly to combine.

  1. Build the cocktail

Fill a tall glass with ice.

  1. Pour and mix

Add the vodka to the glass, then pour the green Bloody Mary mix over the ice.

  1. Garnish and serve

Top with celery, olives, cucumber slices, lime wedges, or pickled vegetables. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a smoother cocktail, strain the blended green mixture through a fine mesh strainer before pouring over ice.

You can make the green Bloody Mary mix up to 2 days ahead and store it in the refrigerator.
