Description
These Greek style grilled chicken wings are bright, juicy, and packed with fresh lemon, garlic, dill, and oregano. Grilled until lightly charred, they make an easy summer dinner, appetizer, or cookout recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings or drummettes
1/4 cup olive oil
1 lemon, zested
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, dill, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Add the chicken wings and toss well until evenly coated in the marinade.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or longer for more flavor.

Preheat the grill to high heat.

Place the wings on the grill and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, turning several times, until the wings are cooked through and lightly charred.

Remove from the grill and serve hot with extra lemon if desired.
Notes
Fresh herbs give the best flavor in this recipe.
You can marinate the wings for a few hours ahead of grilling.
Make sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F before serving.
