-
1½ tbsp brown sugar
-
2½ tsp paprika (sweet or regular)
-
1½ tsp kosher salt
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp dried thyme
-
½ tsp dried oregano
-
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
For the Chicken
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
2–3 tbsp olive oil
Garlic Butter Sauce
-
3 tbsp unsalted butter
-
2 garlic cloves, crushed
Garnish (Optional)
-
Fresh chopped parsley or cilantro
-
Lemon wedges
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix all seasoning ingredients together until well combined.
Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Coat generously with the Creole seasoning on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes per side until deeply golden and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F).
Do not crowd the pan — this helps create that beautiful crust.
Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter and crushed garlic to the pan. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the chicken continuously for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired. Garnish with chopped herbs and serve immediately.
