Description

These easy hibachi noodles are buttery, garlicky, and tossed in a savory soy sauce glaze just like the noodles served at Japanese steakhouses. Ready in under 20 minutes and perfect with hibachi chicken, steak, or shrimp.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp teriyaki sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp green onions

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain.

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

  • Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, teriyaki sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.

  • Add noodles and toss to coat in the sauce.

  • Cook 2–3 minutes until glossy and heated through.

  • Top with green onions and sesame seeds and serve.

Notes

For the best hibachi flavor, cook the noodles over high heat and use butter instead of oil. Spaghetti works great if you can’t find lo mein noodles. Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or steak to turn this into a full hibachi dinner.
