Description

These loaded Doritos nachos are cheesy, crunchy, and packed with seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and fresh toppings. They are perfect for game day, parties, or an easy family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
2/3 cup water
1 large bag Nacho Cheese Doritos
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup diced red onion
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 avocado, sliced
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 lime, cut into wedges
Hot sauce, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.

  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.

  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, until the meat is well coated and the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. Spread the Doritos out on a large sheet pan or oven-safe platter.

  5. Spoon the seasoned beef evenly over the chips.

  6. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese over the top.

  7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes, red onion, shredded lettuce, avocado slices, sour cream, chopped cilantro, lime wedges, and hot sauce.

  9. Serve immediately while the chips are still crisp.

Notes

For the best texture, add the cold toppings after baking. You can also swap the ground beef for shredded chicken or taco meat leftovers.
