These easy crispy baked avocado fries are golden and crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and served with a tangy homemade lime ranch dip. Oven-baked and simple to make, they’re perfect as an appetizer, snack, or game day bite.
Avocado Fries
Nonstick cooking spray (PAM)
1 cup plain panko breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon sea salt
2 large egg whites
4 firm ripe avocados, pitted, peeled, and cut into wedges
Lime Ranch
½ cup ranch dressing
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Lime zest, to taste
Freshly cracked black pepper, to garnish
Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray a rimmed baking sheet generously with nonstick cooking spray.
In a wide shallow bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, onion powder, and sea salt.
In a second bowl, whisk egg whites until foamy.
Dip avocado wedges into egg whites, allowing excess to drip off, then gently press into breadcrumb mixture to coat.
Arrange coated avocado wedges on prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray tops with cooking spray.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
While fries bake, whisk ranch dressing, lime juice, and lime zest in a small bowl.
Serve avocado fries hot with lime ranch for dipping.
Use firm-ripe avocados so the wedges hold their shape.
Serve immediately for best crispiness.
For extra crunch, place baking sheet on the upper oven rack.
