Ingredients

Scale

Avocado Fries

  • Nonstick cooking spray (PAM)

  • 1 cup plain panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

  • 2 large egg whites

  • 4 firm ripe avocados, pitted, peeled, and cut into wedges

Lime Ranch

  • ½ cup ranch dressing

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • Lime zest, to taste

  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray a rimmed baking sheet generously with nonstick cooking spray.

  • In a wide shallow bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, onion powder, and sea salt.

  • In a second bowl, whisk egg whites until foamy.

  • Dip avocado wedges into egg whites, allowing excess to drip off, then gently press into breadcrumb mixture to coat.

  • Arrange coated avocado wedges on prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray tops with cooking spray.

  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.

  • While fries bake, whisk ranch dressing, lime juice, and lime zest in a small bowl.

  • Serve avocado fries hot with lime ranch for dipping.

Notes

  • Use firm-ripe avocados so the wedges hold their shape.

  • Serve immediately for best crispiness.

  • For extra crunch, place baking sheet on the upper oven rack.
