Brown Butter Cookie Dough
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- ½ cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup M&Ms
- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- 1 cup crushed kettle-cooked potato chips
For Finishing
- Flaky sea salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let cool for 10–15 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, M&Ms, pretzels, and potato chips.
- Cover and chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop large cookie dough balls and place them spaced apart on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are still soft.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt while warm. Let cool slightly before serving.
