- ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
- Cut each ear of corn into thirds and pat dry with paper towels.
- Heat 2 to 3 inches of vegetable oil in a large Dutch oven or deep fryer to 350°F.
- Fry the corn in batches for 6 to 8 minutes until tender and lightly golden.
- Remove the corn and drain on paper towels.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and sugar.
- Add the hot fried corn and toss until evenly coated.
