Ingredients

Scale

For the Wontons

  • 24 frozen chicken wontons
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (if pan frying)

For the Creamy Garlic Chili Crisp Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili crisp
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese (optional)

Garnish

  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • Extra chili crisp for serving

Instructions

  • Cook the chicken wontons according to package directions. Air fry, pan fry, or boil as desired.
  • While the wontons cook, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in the chili crisp and cook for another minute.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese and cream cheese. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the cooked wontons to the skillet and gently toss until coated in the sauce.
  • Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and an extra drizzle of chili crisp.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Air frying creates the crispiest wontons.
  • For extra heat, add an additional tablespoon of chili crisp.
  • Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan melts best into the sauce.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for a heartier dinner.
