These Chicken Caesar Smash Tacos are crispy, creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. Seasoned ground chicken is smashed onto tortillas and cooked until golden, then topped with fresh Caesar salad, parmesan cheese, and crunchy croutons for the ultimate easy dinner recipe.

For the Smash Tacos

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Caesar Salad Topping

  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup shaved parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup croutons, lightly crushed
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • Lemon wedges, optional


Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until evenly mixed.
  • Spread a thin layer of the chicken mixture evenly onto one side of each tortilla.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  • Place the tortillas chicken-side down onto the hot skillet and press lightly with a spatula. Cook for 4–5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and crispy.
  • Flip and cook the tortilla side for another 1–2 minutes until golden and crisp.
  • In a separate bowl, toss the chopped romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing and parmesan cheese.
  • Top each taco with the Caesar salad mixture and crushed croutons.
  • Finish with extra parmesan, cracked black pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use thin flour tortillas for the crispiest texture.
  • Don’t spread the chicken too thick or it won’t crisp properly.
  • Add crispy onions or diced avocado for extra flavor.
