For around fifteen bucks, this DIY John Lennon quote art makes a big statement in my master bedroom!
Last year while browsing Pinterest I came across this image of artwork that was a quote from John Lennon.
I’ve always loved this quote, and loved the art, but when I back tracked it to the source, my heart sank when I saw the price tag.
$400-$600 was not in this gals budget, so I decided to make my own… 🙂
That’s the beautiful thing about Pinterest! You see something and you become inspired to create your own version, and most of the time for a fraction of the price!
My master bedroom has been a disaster since day one and why you don’t see photos of it on here.
But this year I’m determined to make it feel like a relaxing space instead of just another room for these guys to lounge in. 😉

I made this quote graphic and then sent it off to Staples to be printed as an engineering print.
I love that trick and have used it for so many things including this creepy Halloween art.
It’s a great way to get a really large print for cheap! It cost me around $3.50 to have this quote blown up and printed.
Then I picked up some wood at Home Depot for about $3 a piece to make a really simple frame around it.
To attach it, I just stapled the print directly onto the wood. Not having glass in front of it doesn’t bother me, but you could always have this framed or decoupage it to a canvas. That would be a cool look! 🙂
I really love the way it turned out and for a super affordable price tag!
