Make these marble inspired nail polish Christmas ball ornaments for your Christmas tree. They will also make the perfect gift for anyone on your list this year and only cost one dollar! Make a few for everyone! 🙂
This holiday season I’m making it a mission to find more things at the dollar store to craft with! Don’t you love being able to make cheap things look more expensive?
I sure do 🙂
That’s why I headed to the Dollar Tree with my friend over the weekend.
I bought a lot of little crafty things that I’ve been playing with in my decor, but when I saw these clear ball ornaments I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them!
Have you guys seen that neat marble inspired nail polish trick? You can find it all over YouTube and a lot of girls do it on their nails. I wanted to give it a go on these and make marble inspired nail polish Christmas ball ornaments and you guys…
They came out SO stinking cute! 🙂
I can’t wait to gift them to people. They really look like marble globes hanging in the tree!
Besides the ball Christmas ornaments, You’ll need…
- Cheap nail polish- I used 3 (white, gray, and black)
- An old bowl thats deep enough to submerge the ornament
- water
- toothpick or wooden skewer
Pretty cool, huhh?
So here’s a tip though…
If you’re going to be doing a lot of ornaments at once, you’re going to want to change the water out after every two or else it’s going to get clumpy on you.
Other than that they can not be easier to make!
To dry them, I simply opened my bottom kitchen cabinets and taped them to the top of the opening.
They came out so good! 🙂
I’m so in love with these nail polish marble ornaments!
What’s your favorite thing to pick up at the dollar store this time of year? I love hearing other people’s ideas on what else you can make!
Talk to you soon, friends! Take care!

This project was an epic FAILURE!!!
The paint wont’t dry on the glass. I tried SEVERAL different methods and NOTHING worked!!!

Wow…I’m stumped! This is almost fool proof. The nail polish sticks and dries very quickly :-/ Maybe the brand of polish you’re using? I have no idea what could of gone wrong.
