spice up your salad routine with this delcious lettuce wrap chopped salad! via

Lettuce Wrap Salad

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2 salads 1x


  • 1 lb. ground chicken
  • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon minced lemongrass (get the one in the tube-easier)
  • 2 tablespoons oil (I use coconut)
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes


  1. In a large skillet, add in your oil to heat up and add in your ground chicken. Crumble it with a spoon as it browns (3-5 minutes)
  2. Add in your chopped onions and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add in the rest of you ingredients and cook while stirring for an additional 5 minutes or until meat has absorbed all the flavorings. Place in a bowl and set aside to come to room temp.
  4. Assemble your salad just as you would a lettuce wrap. butter or iceberg lettuce, then meat and whatever toppings you like. I use green onions, carrots, red pepper, and water chestnuts in mine. Enjoy! 🙂
