Making your own homemade vanilla extract is not only a cost effective way to get the best quality vanilla for your baking, but it’s incredibly delicious too! Here’s how to make it…


  • Vanilla Beans (5-6 per bottle)
  • Vodka or Bourbon (80% proof)


  1. Slice your vanilla bean in half lengthwise and then in half across
  2. Add them into a dark amber bottle
  3. Using a funnel, pour in about 8 oz. of your booze of choice
  4. Tightly seal and label
  5. Tuck away in a dark cool cabinet for 6 months-year
