These crockpot caramel stuffed apples are the perfect fall treat!
This time of year I use my crockpot the most. Anything from roasts, to soups, to desserts get thrown in there to cook while I take care of other things.
One of my favorite sweet treats to make using my crockpot is baked apples. But to make them even better I hollow them out and fill them with caramel!
Oh my ooey gooey goodness…They are to die for served nice and warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
This.
This is what fall dreams are made of, guys. 🙂
It’s times like this, I wish I had a fireplace. The only thing that would make this better is sitting in front of a fire, wearing my fluffy socks, snuggled up under a cozy blanket. I’ll make do with a big bowl and a spoon curled up on my couch watching Netflix though. 😉
Apples, cinnamon, caramel…Heaven in a bowl.
I love walking into the house after these have been cooking for a couple hours in the crockpot. It smells like I’ve been baking an apple pie all day, which is basically what this is! A crustless apple pie, and we all know the filling is the best part anyway so just skip the crust and dig in.
If apples aren’t your thing, you can definitely do this with pears too. It’s so tasty. I love warm baked fruit and doing it in the crockpot just makes life so much easier. 🙂
