I found these two glass vases at Walmart (icky! I do NOT like going there!) Like I said I’m up for a challenge! I also bought yellow spray paint, teal sample paint (because they didn’t have teal spray paint) and puffy white paint.
Disclaimer: If you are a perfectionist, you can turn away now. I did not do this craft perfectly. I winged it. I know. GASP! My hands are not steady. They shake. A LOT. Probably from the 4-5 cups of coffee I had prior to starting this. Yeah. It was one of those days…
Anyhoo…
I used my puffy paint to make a ‘hive-like’ pattern all around the vase. West Elms vases are terra cotta, but I liked the shape of these glass vases for what I wanted to use them for. It was kind of tricky using the puffy paint on glass. I don’t really recommend it. It kept dripping and making a mess. Maybe my puffy paint was crud. I don’t know.
Anyhoo….
When the puffy paint was dry and hard almost dry, I painted it. I’m impatient. What can I say? ;o)
When I was sure they were dry touched the vases and had minimal paint transfer to my skin (I said I was impatient) I stuck straws in one, and some kitchen tools in the other and plopped them next to my stove.
I had fun! Did they come out great? Ehh not really, but they do add an unexpected splash of color to my kitchen that it desperately needed! So I’ll rate this craft a B- and give myself an E for effort! ;o)

Awesome job! Is that what that stuff is called…puffy paint. I always thought it was glue. Looks awesome, and I of course love your color choices! I have used that sun yellow before and love it. So glad you joined in on the fun! Enjoy.

Great job and also love the colors, nice splashes of color in the kitchen sound great. I bought some puffy paint a couple of weeks ago to do some vases. I went to Good Will last week and picked up 7 vases to do projects with. Now it’s just getting that project started.
Thanks for stopping by my new FB page and sending some FB love. Much appreciated. :0)
