Description
A delicious side dish to any holiday meal. Cheesy scalloped potatoes will be a favorite year after year!
Ingredients
- 1 lb yukon gold or red potatoes
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon dry thyme
- 1 tablespoon dry parsley
- 1 cup favorite shredded cheese (Gouda, Gruyere, Cheddar)
- 2–3 tablespoons butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice potatoes thin
- Add into a large bowl with cream and milk. Let potatoes sit in the milk bath for a few minutes to release starch.
- Add in garlic, and half of your cheese, and herbs-give everything a good mix.
- Pour potatoes into baking dish and top with remaining cheese and dollops of butter.
- Bake in oven at 375 for 45 minutes

*Potatoes are best served at warm to room temperature.
