Hello football season! These buffalo chicken ball bites are everything you love about wings minus the messy fingers!
Yesterday I shared with you an easy dip recipe that I love serving up at parties, so I thought I’d share one more football season fav!
These buffalo chicken ball bites are so good! I love making them any time but especially during football season to watch the games. 🙂
I’d faceplant into a bowl of wings every night if I could. They’re one of my favorite things so I’m always trying to come up with ways to give me the same flavor without frying anything.
I make baked buffalo wings quite a bit and buffalo chicken pasta is always a favorite in my house, but these chicken ball bites do the trick when I’m wanting something really easy to pop into my mouth.
They make for a great lunch on their own, and I love serving them on a hoagie too. Kind of like a meatball sub but buffalo chicken style. 🙂
The great thing about these also is that you can make a big batch and store them in the fridge for a few days and heat them up whenever you want a snack.
I’d definitely leave them in the container without sauce like that though. Once they’re reheated you can toss them around in some. 🙂
Here’s how to make these delicious little buffalo chicken ball bites…
PrintBuffalo Chicken Ball Bites
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 30 minutes
- Total Time: 40 minutes
- Yield: 12 chicken ball bites 1x
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 3 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 cup favorite wing sauce
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 and mix together all of your ingredients. I put about 2 tablespoons of the wing sauce into the meat mixture and reserve the rest to toss them after they’re cooked.
- With clean and damp hands, roll the mixture into balls and place them on a baking sheet. 1 lb makes about 12 balls.
- Cook for 30 minutes and toss the meatballs in the remaining wing sauce when they’re done and serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing to dip.
- *Bonus! The celery acts as a skewer to pick those delicious chicken ball bites up. 🙂 Enjoy!
