Hey there, and Welcome to First Home…Love Life! I’m Christine, I’m a 27 year old wife and mom to one. For as long as I can remember, decorating and the love of design has been in my blood. Growing up, I was the little girl that would spend hours designing and constructing the perfect house for my dolls, but would only spend 15 minutes at most actually playing with them. I was the pre-teen who would watch Home and Gardening networks, or the Martha Stewart show day dreaming of my future, and I was the teenager that would take my tiny part time paycheck and buy flowers for the garden or paint to redo my room.
Fast forward to today and here I am! I started this blog in May of 2011 when my husband was transferred for work 3 hours north of where we were living. First Home…Love Life was originally made to be a journal of sorts, so friends and family could see how we were and what we were up to. Boy, has that changed! I still give glimpses here and there into our personal life, but as my site grows I have become more private, for obvious reasons.
My education and training has been all over the place. I studied skin care and makeup artistry, culinary arts, and most recently real estate. I’ve never held a job in any of those fields, but feel like they were small stepping stones that led me to the path I’m on today. I can honestly say that this is my dream job. It allows me stay at home and be with my daughter, all while doing what I do best…being creative.
I have a love for all things domestic, whether it’s cooking a great meal, learning a new cleaning tip, finding ways to organize my home and life, homemaking and decorating on a budget, or DIYing a home or garden project. I love it all and the best part about this blog is being able to share it with all of you!
I’m incredibly thankful for the readers that come here daily to see what’s new, and I’m equally as thankful if this is your first time here, because without you reading along and commenting (yes, I read them all and love your comments so keep em coming!) I really would have no reason to do this!
