If you’re a fur-momma or fur-dad to a kitty or two, then you know what I mean when I say there is rarely a dull moment in our house. Having cats is a completely different experience than dogs, both equally fulfilling of course, but different. I love our cat babies (yes, we have two!) Angel, who’s my senior girl at 16 years young, can be seen in this post, and Rosie my daughter’s frisky Manx kitten can be seen in this post and is modeling for us today. 😉
When it comes to owning cats, a topic that can get heated fast is what to do with those claws, and…
Let me just say that THIS IS A JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE.
Whether you declaw, would never dream of it, or are thinking about doing it because your kitty just ripped a hole in your $5,000 Italian leather sofa. I respect your opinion to do what works for your family and needs. 🙂
I personally am on the side of the fence that is against it. However, when my daughter was waking up every morning with scratches all over her body due to a frisky feline alarm clock, I knew I needed to find a solution that would benefit both kitty and us to live in scratch free harmony.
Check out those hot pink nails…. 😉
Those, my friends, are my new most favorite thing ever! Feline Soft Claws Cat Nail Caps (<- Amazon Affiliate link) have allowed our sweet baby Rosie to keep her nails (with style!) and give us peace of mind that if our foot slips out of the covers in the middle of the night, we won’t be met with piercing needles waking us up at 3 am. 😉
They come in a rainbow of colors, assortment of sizes (by weight) and are super duper easy to apply (or have your vets office do it for you).
It’s a neat concept! Hollow silicone covers that have little nubs to latch onto the nail for an extra grip when used with the adhesive which is completely safe for your fur baby. You simply add a dab of glue into the soft claw and then slide it onto your cat’s nail, hold it in place for a few seconds and then it stays put.
Baby Rosie has been sporting hers for about a week and a half now and doesn’t seem to mind them one bit! 🙂
I’m so happy I found this product! It’s a life changer for sure. That’s why I wanted to share it with you. 🙂
I hope if you’re on the fence about what to do with your kitty’s nails to check these out before going the declawing route. I think you’ll be very pleasantly surprised!
Talk to you soon friends, take care!
